Overview:
Renstar is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to operate our in-house laboratory. This role supports clinical operations through specimen processing, CLIA-waived testing, and sample preparation for shipment. This position does not require a licensed or certified laboratory technician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process blood and other specimens according to established procedures
- Perform CLIA-waived laboratory testing only
- Properly label, package, and prepare specimens for shipment
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with CLIA, safety, and company protocols
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant lab environment
- Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative staff
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Prior experience in a clinical, laboratory, medical office, or healthcare setting preferred
- Comfortable handling blood and biological specimens
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow written procedures and protocols
- Dependable, professional, and able to work independently
- This position does not require a certified or licensed laboratory technician
- No moderate or high-complexity testing performed
Training:
- On-the-job training provided
- CLIA-waived testing protocols will be reviewed upon hire
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Manual dexterity for specimen handling
- Ability to lift up to [30] lbs. if applicable
