About this position
The Director of Enrollment Management is responsible for overseeing the entire admissions process, developing and implementing strategies to attract and enroll a diverse and talented student body prepared for the rigor of higher education. The Director will manage the admissions team, collaborate with various departments, and ensure a seamless and positive experience for applicants/prospective students from inquiry through enrollment toward graduation. This role includes a focus on developing organic leads and recruiting military personnel and veterans, ensuring they are well-informed about educational opportunities and support services available to them. For recruitment purposes, this position is on-campus for a minimum of 40 hours, eight (8) Saturdays per year, and evenings (Monday-Thursday).
Requirements:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop and execute comprehensive admissions strategies to meet or exceed enrollment goals.
· Lead and manage the admissions team, providing guidance, training, and support.
· Oversee the application review process, ensuring timely and accurate decisions.
· Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to create effective recruitment materials and campaigns.
· Analyze admissions data and trends to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.
· Organize and participate in recruitment events, such as open houses, college fairs, and campus tours.
· Assist the college President with the development of memorandums of understanding/articulation agreements with educational institutions to increase the student pipeline by fostering relationships with other educational institutions (e.g., high schools, community colleges, ESL programs).
· Assist the program directors in the recruitment and enrollment process, ensuring that applicants are prepared for the academic challenges of higher education and the balance of other responsibilities (e.g., work) required.
· Knowledgeable of all school and company policies and procedures, all applicable federal and state regulations and all accrediting agency standards and requirements related to admissions.
· Maintain a high level of customer service and support for prospective students and their support systems.
· Manage the admissions budget and allocate resources effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
· Team Leadership. Supervise and mentor the college admissions team, including setting performance goals and conducting regular evaluations. Provide training and development opportunities for the admissions representatives. Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
· Recruitment Strategy Development. Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of prospective students, including military personnel and veterans. Analyze market trends and demographic data to identify target recruitment areas. Coordinate recruitment activities, including high school visits, college fairs, military job fairs, ESL programs and online outreach.
· Military Recruitment. Oversee the development and execution of recruitment strategies focusing on military personnel and veterans. Establish and maintain relationships with military education officers, veteran support organizations, and other relevant stakeholders. Ensure admission representatives are knowledgeable about the application process, transfer of military credits, and available financial aid options, including GI Bill benefits.
· Application and Enrollment Support. Monitor the application and enrollment process to ensure a smooth experience for prospective students. Collaborate with Student Financial Services to track application status and provide updates to applicants. Address any issues or concerns that arise during the application process.
· Community and Relationship Building. Build and maintain relationships with high school counselors, community organizations, and military education officers. Represent the college at community events and outreach activities to raise awareness about the college's programs and services. Work with other departments to ensure a seamless transition for incoming students.
· Data Management and Reporting. Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities and prospective student interactions. Analyze recruitment data to assess the effectiveness of strategies and make recommendations for improvement. Prepare weekly reports on recruitment activities and outcomes for the college President and Board.
QUALIFICATIONS:
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Exceptional management, leadership, training, and relationship building skills; organizational and research skills. Experience with online education is desirable. Bilingual skills are a plus.
EXPERIENCE: Experience in college admissions, recruitment, and a minimum of 10 years in a supervisory role. Knowledge of military recruitment processes and veteran education benefits.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's degree preferred.

Ability to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
