Presbyterian Village North is immediately hiring a Licensed Full Time (PTA) Physical Therapist Assistant in our Rehab. Department.
Associates Degree required.

Shift Available: Full Time Monday-Friday, 40 hours for Outpatient (AL/IL/MC/OP), occasionally also see SNF patients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Model a service attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous to residents, patients, visitors, and co-workers
Ensure resident, patient, visitor, and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazards
Maintain good attendance record
Provide resident therapy treatments as directed by the Physical Therapist
Document treatment and progress notes and other clinical work in the medical record per departmental policy and procedure
Provide resident, family and staff education pertaining to Physical Therapy modalities to ensure understanding and proficiency of care
Demonstrates good clinical judgment in all aspects of resident treatments in which trained to provide
Screening residents to determine their potential benefit from physical therapy intervention and communicate need for intervention to Physical Therapist
Develops, directs and/or participates in physical therapy programming for the residents
Attends in-services and other meetings as required on an ongoing basis
Maintains continuing education per state licensure requirements
Other duties as assigned by the Physical Therapist and Director of Rehab

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Texas
Knowledge of therapy industry and federal, state and local government regulations
Preferred experience with NetHealth documentation system
Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
Demonstrated efficiency strategies for fast paced environment
Experience in SNF/LTC/IL/AL/OP setting or mature population rehabilitation and wellness needs
Experience with PDPM treatment and reimbursement policy
Basic computer skills, Outlook, Word, Excel
Excellent customer service skills
Genuine caring for and interest in the care of mature adults, persons with a handicap and hospice patients
Ability to perform work tasks within the Physical Demand Requirements
Ability to perform Essential Duties
Ability to comply with the Resident Bill of Rights and the Employee Responsibilities
Ability to comply with organizational and departmental safety policies and procedures
