Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed cost estimates for wind turbine decommissioning and recycling projects, including labor, equipment, materials, subcontractor services, and disposal/recycling costs.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to identify scope, risks, and opportunities.
- Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure accurate pricing.
- Prepare bid proposals, cost summaries, and project schedules for client submissions.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and field teams to ensure alignment between estimates and project execution.
- Track historical data on costs and productivity to improve future estimates.
- Support business development by providing input during proposal strategy and client meetings.
- Assist in post-bid reviews, change orders, and cost tracking during project execution.
- Stay up to date on industry best practices, recycling technologies, and regulatory requirements related to wind energy decommissioning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of estimating experience in construction, demolition, recycling, or renewable energy sectors; experience in wind decommissioning is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, equipment, and materials relevant to decommissioning and recycling.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations, waste disposal, and recycling practices.
- Proficient in estimating software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
