Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team at our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Monmouth, IL. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality dental hygiene care to our diverse patient population, promoting oral health and disease prevention in a community-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental hygiene assessments, including reviewing patient medical histories and conducting oral cancer screenings.
• Provide preventive dental care such as cleanings, scaling, root planing, and fluoride treatments.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care to maintain optimal oral health.
• Assist dentists during dental procedures as needed.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with FQHC standards and regulations.
• Ensure infection control protocols and safety standards are strictly followed.
• Participate in community outreach and education programs to promote oral health awareness.

Qualifications

• Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of Illinois.
• Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or similar community health setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, techniques, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to providing compassionate care to underserved populations.
