Key Responsibilities:

- Manage patient accounts by processing payments, adjustments, and collections accurately and efficiently

- Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing statements, insurance claims, and payment options

- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility to facilitate accurate billing

- Collaborate with insurance companies and healthcare providers to resolve billing issues

- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations

- Reconcile accounts and prepare reports on billing activities as needed

- Assist with billing audits and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and policies

Requirements:

 

Skills and Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or relevant certification preferred

- Proven experience in healthcare billing, patient accounts, or medical office administration

- Strong knowledge of medical billing software and electronic health records systems

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities

- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

- Knowledge of insurance processes, coding, and healthcare regulations
