About this position
Initial Trainer Job Description:
This Role Is for Professionals — Not Placeholders
At Moxie Pest Control, we don’t cut corners, and we don’t hire people who do.
We’re looking for an Initial Trainer who understands that how someone starts shapes everything that follows. This role sets the standard for performance, professionalism, and culture across our organization. This isn’t a “run through a slideshow” job, it’s a high-impact role for someone who believes training done right changes outcomes.
This is a full-time, in-person role responsible for onboarding and developing new hires across departments, including technicians, customer service representatives, and managers.
Why This Job Feels Different
You’ll finish each training cycle knowing you built someone’s confidence and capability from day one.
You’ll have defined expectations, structured systems, and leadership support.
You’ll be trusted to shape the employee experience — and recognized for doing it with excellence.
We believe structure creates freedom. Clear processes, strong policy alignment, and high training standards allow you to develop people without chaos or inconsistency.
About You
You’re structured, empathetic, and confident leading a room. You hold high standards while making people feel supported. You understand that great training isn’t just about information — it’s about clarity, accountability, and culture.
You’re:
Empathetic & Supportive — You meet new hires where they are and build confidence
Policy-Aligned & Professional — You follow standards and explain the “why,” not just the “what”
A Strong Communicator — Clear, persuasive, and comfortable leading groups
Organized & Accountable — You track progress, documentation, and certification details carefully
Service-Oriented — You believe training should reflect the same excellence we provide customers
