Position Summary

The Assembler II is a mid-level role responsible for more complex assembly tasks and ensuring products meet quality and functionality standards. This position requires the ability to work independently, interpret blueprints or work instructions, and troubleshoot minor issues during the assembly process. You will be required to train and mentor entry-level assemblers as needed. 


Essential Functions

  • Assemble components and sub-assemblies using detailed engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Inspect parts for defects and ensure proper fit, alignment, and functionality
  • Use hand tools, power tools, or automated equipment to perform assembly tasks
  • Conduct visual inspections and functional tests on finished products
  • Identify and resolve minor assembly issues to ensure smooth production flow
  • Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality
  • Train and mentor entry-level assemblers as needed
  • Assist team members with general tasks to support production flow


Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a related field
  • Ability to read blueprints and use measurement tools like tape measures
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to quality control and safety protocols

Physical Demands

  • Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms, hands, fingers, legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, handling of materials, and operating machinery
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks as required by the assembly role
  • Perform repetitive motions using your hands and fingers such as, but not limited to, grasping, gripping, and holding
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform assembly tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Carrying & lifting 10 – 75lbs. frequently
