Job Summary:

  • The Outbound BDR is responsible for generating new leads and qualifying prospects through proactive outbound strategies. You will engage with potential customers via cold calling, email outreach, social media, AI tools and other digital channels to create a robust pipeline for our Account Executives. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and a persistent, self-motivated approach. The outbound BDR will manage the prospect through lead generation, pipeline management, organisation, effective communication, and strong discovery and listening skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting & Lead Generation:
    • Identify and research target companies and key decision-makers using tools such as LinkedIn, CRM databases, and industry reports.
    • Develop targeted outbound campaigns (cold calls, emails, social media outreach) to generate interest in our SaaS solutions.
    • Partner with the Account Executive on prospects
  •  Qualifying Leads:
    • Engage with prospects to understand their needs, pain points, and buying processes.
    • Evaluate prospects against the ideal customer profile (ICP) and qualify them as Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) for the Account Executives.
  • Pipeline Management:
    • Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of all prospecting activities in our CRM system.
    • Follow up with prospects in a timely manner to nurture interest and schedule discovery calls or demos.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to refine outreach strategies and share market feedback.
    • Participate in regular meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends and market competition

 

  • Performance Metrics:
    • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly KPIs, including outreach volume, number of qualified leads, and meetings booked.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 1-2 years of experience in outbound sales, lead generation, or business development (IAM and SaaS experience is a plus).
  • Proven track record of success in a high-volume outbound sales environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to identify and engage decision-makers.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and outbound sales tools (e.g., Outreach, Salesloft, 6Sense).
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment.
