Traditions Racquet Center - Pickleball Teaching Professional

 

Reports to: Director of Racquet Sports
 

The Pickleball Teaching Professional Position will consist of the following obligations;

  1. Work the Pro Shop during the hours listed below.
  2. Solicit lessons by making phone calls and sending emails.
  3. Teach Private and Group lessons for the compensation listed below.
  4. Give complimentary 30-minute hitting consultations with new members.
  5. Grow the Junior Programs.
  6. Play as a sub during leagues, as needed.
  7. Represent Traditions Club in a Professional and Courteous manner at all times.
  8. Attend Club functions as requested in order to get acquainted with new members.
  9. You must clock out of Pro Shop hours when teaching a Private, Group or Junior Program.
  10. Become PCR Certified within 1 year (paid for by Traditions).

 

The compensation package will be as follows;

  1. Pro Shop Hourly                                $10 per hour
  2. Racket Stringing                                $10 each
  3. Lesson Commissions                       60% of revenue
  4. Eligible to Apply for the Scholarship Program.

 

Pro Shop scheduled hours;

                Monday               closed

                Tuesday               4 – 9 pm

                Wednesday        4 – 9 pm

                Thursday             4 – 9 pm

                Friday                    4 – 9 pm

                Saturday              8 am – 12 pm

                Sunday                 12 – 4 pm

                                Total      28 hours per week 

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment

•             Ability to control natural swing speed during instruction or matches with inexperienced players.

•             Sufficient stamina to tolerate hot and humid outdoor weather for several consecutive hours.

•             Continuous standing, walking, running, bending, stooping and repetitive actions.

•             Frequent use of light machinery and hand-held tools.

•             Frequent lifting and moving of objects.
