POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

- Must not pose a direct threat to safety and health of other individuals in the workplace.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with schedules and supervises other housekeeping staff.
- Assist with training, supervise and monitor the quality of work of other housekeeping staff.
- Assist with assigning housekeeping staff their duties and inspects work for conformance to quality of cleanliness.
- Monitor order and stock the Clean Linen room with ample amount of linen per title 22.
- Will monitor patient rooms to be cleaned immediately and will follow up to assure rooms have been cleaned when doing rounding.
- Assists with coordinating work activities among housekeeping staff.
- Performs cleaning duties in cases of emergency or staff shortage.
- Examines housekeeping equipment to determine need of repairs or replacement and make recommendation to manager.
- Assists with and conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment.
- Makes recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation.
- Report daily to the manager.
- Informs the manager of all activities and any needs prior to the shift’s end.
- Shall stay “on property” at any time the manager has the day off and is responsible for operations of the hospital during this time.
- Assist in screening of job applicants, new employees and recommends promotions, and dismissal.
