We’re looking for a Field Inspection Technician (FIT) Scheduling Supervisor to lead our FIT Scheduling team — someone who thrives at the intersection of people leadership, operational excellence, and cross-functional coordination.
What You’ll Do
As the FIT Scheduling Supervisor, you’ll lead, support, and develop a team of schedulers while ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient scheduling operations. You’ll work closely with Sales and Field Inspection Operations to meet customer commitments, optimize resources, and continuously improve how we schedule and execute work.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong teams, improving systems, and keeping complex operations running smoothly — even when things change fast.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the FIT Scheduling team through hiring, onboarding, coaching, feedback, and performance management
Oversee daily and weekly scheduling execution to ensure safety, accuracy, and efficient use of resources
Ensure scheduling policies, procedures, and standards are consistently followed
Coordinate scheduling and communication between Sales, Field Inspection Operations, and FIT Production
Train schedulers on systems, processes, and best practices (initial and ongoing)
Support and improve scheduling tools and platforms, including Skedulo, FIT App, and Salesforce
Respond to scheduling disruptions and urgent situations with sound judgment and clear communication
Review reports, monitor performance trends, and provide regular updates to FIT leadership
Identify and implement practical improvements to scheduling workflows and processes
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
5+ years of FIT experience at SDMyers, or
5+ years of equivalent industry experience in field inspection or related operations
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge
FIT scheduling processes and operational workflows
Scheduling and CRM systems (Skedulo, Salesforce, FIT App, or similar)
Safety, compliance, quality, and reporting expectations in field inspection environments
Skills
Strong people leadership skills — coaching, training, accountability, and corrective action
Excellent problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making abilities
Clear and effective communication across teams and departments
Process improvement mindset with the ability to implement practical solutions
Comfort using scheduling, office, and collaboration software
Abilities
Lead with consistency, professionalism, and accountability
Stay calm and effective in time-sensitive or emergency situations
Analyze performance data to guide decisions
Build strong working relationships across Sales, Operations, and Production
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Primarily office-based scheduling work in a conventional office environment
Some exposure to outdoor and industrial environments related to field operations
Typical work week ranges 40–60 hours, depending on business needs
Ability to:
Sit or work at a workstation for extended periods
Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
Hear, see, speak, and move comfortably throughout the day
Travel overnight by air or land as needed
