About this position
LTC Language Solutions is seeking a Japanese instructor for online tutoring. We are a language service provider specializing in language and cultural training for relocating expats. This is a freelance contract position.
We have an adult professional learner requesting the following services:
- Language Class: Beginner Japanese for one adult (native Korean speaker)
- Location: Virtual lessons via MS Teams
- Schedule: Weekend sessions only (exact days/times to be confirmed)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: Up to 50 hours
- Requirements:
- Native or near-native Japanese speaker
- Must also speak Korean to explain writing systems and grammar when needed
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience teaching adults
- Experience teaching beginners, especially with hiragana, katakana, and kanji
- Comfortable using bilingual Korean–Japanese materials
- Compensation: Negotiable
- Curriculum:
- Based on student goals
- Focus on literacy (hiragana/katakana/early kanji), daily-life communication, and workplace conversation
- Instructor expected to supplement with authentic materials and bilingual resources
- LTC will cover the cost of textbooks if required
