About this position
Description:
The Purchasing & Maintenance Facilities Assistant will assist with facilities needs across our offices. This role combines light facilities/handyman tasks with courier responsibilities, supporting our team with efficient, courteous service. Duties include:
- Make courier runs between office locations, ensuring timely and secure delivery of supplies and equipment.
- Perform basic handyman and facilities tasks, including minor repairs, maintenance, and general upkeep.
- Support office operations such as stocking supplies, setting up work spaces, and assisting with other projects as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in shared spaces.
- Work independently to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Able to troubleshoot issues.
- Interact with team members in a professional and friendly manner, providing responsive and courteous support.
- Normally works less than 24 hours per week.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Professionalism; Good communication skills
- Minimum of two years’ previous facilities or similar experience
- Preferred: Ability to perform basic electrical, plumbing, and/or HVAC repairs.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and efficiently
- Positive attitude and strong customer service orientation
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and daily priorities
- General handyman skills and comfort with light maintenance tasks
- Proficient computer skills
- Valid driver’s license
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, and move items up to 30–50 lbs as needed (office supplies, small equipment, boxes, etc.).
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
- Capability to safely climb small ladders or step stools for basic maintenance tasks.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors when required (e.g., moving items, maintenance).
