About the Role:

The Security Dispatcher plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of personnel, property, and assets by efficiently coordinating communication and response efforts. This position serves as the central point of contact for receiving and dispatching security personnel to incidents, emergencies, or routine patrols, ensuring timely and accurate information flow. The Security Dispatcher monitors multiple communication channels, including radios, telephones, and alarm systems, to detect and respond to security threats or incidents promptly. By maintaining detailed logs and reports, the dispatcher supports incident investigations and compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements. Ultimately, this role is essential in facilitating effective security operations and contributing to a safe environment within the organization and its premises across the United States.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a security dispatch or related communication role.
  • Ability to operate communication equipment such as radios, telephones, and computer-aided dispatch systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of security procedures and emergency response protocols.
  • Active PILB card

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in security dispatch or emergency communications (e.g., APCO or equivalent).
  • Experience working with law enforcement or emergency response agencies.
  • Familiarity with computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software and security management systems.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Additional training in first aid, CPR, or crisis management.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, prioritize, and dispatch security personnel to incidents or emergencies using communication equipment.
  • Monitor security alarms, surveillance systems, and communication devices to detect and respond to potential security threats.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all communications, incidents, and actions taken during shifts.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency services, and internal departments as necessary to manage security situations.
  • Provide timely updates and information to security teams and management to support decision-making and incident resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with all security protocols, policies, and regulatory requirements during dispatch operations.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation related to security incidents and daily activities.
