We are currently considering candidates for the following roles:
Maintenance Supervisor I & II
Maintenance Technician I, II, & III
If you have experience in apartment maintenance and enjoy hands-on work in a team environment, we want to hear from you.
Duties can include but not limited to:
- Diagnose and make repairs in such areas as but not limited to, appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting and basic electricals, plumbing and HVAC.
- Complete Assigned Service requests and repairs consistent with company procedures. Assist in preparing vacant apartments for market-ready status in accordance with company standards.
- Perform maintenance service orders associated with preventive maintenance programs, building and safety inspections, and annual unit inspections.
- Maintain Grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping, and trash management activities.
- Be available for on-call activity during off hours and emergency based on predetermined schedules and needs.
Qualifications vary per position
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 or more years of related experience for Maintenance Tech II & III and supervisor roles
- Knowledge of facilities management standards, concepts, practices, procedures, and policies with the ability to apply them
- Knowledge of electrical, carpentry plumbing, appliances, and HVAC
- Customer service and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable in various situations.
- Ability to work independently and dependently in a team-driven environment
Physical Demands and Work Conditions:
- The person in this role must be able to position him/herself (ex: kneel, crawl, crouch down) to fulfill the essential functions of the role more than half the time.
- The person in this role must be able to spend time walking more than half the time.
- This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or seated more than half the time.
- This position requires the ability to spend less than half the time viewing computer monitors.
- This position operates machinery and/or equipment that requires the constant use of hands/fingers/wrists (ex: typing, sweeping, slicing deli meat, operating the Point-of-Sale system, etc.) more than half the time.
- This position’s work area is climate-controlled (heat/AC) less than half the time.
- This position requires work outdoors more than half the time.
- This position is exposed to hazard/chemical materials less than half the time.
- The person in this position must be able to identify and distinguish between colors all of the time.
- This position operates heavy machinery less than half the time
- The person in this position must be able to maneuver (lift, move, carry, slide, etc.) 40-75lbs.
Travel Requirements:
- This position does not commute between regional offices/distribution centers.
- This position requires overnight travel less than 25% - 50% of the time.
- This position requires on-call or emergency response travel 50% - 75% of the time.
