Tax PreparerJob DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Preparer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for advising clients on tax matters, analyzing financial information, preparing and filing accurate tax returns, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations. You will also assist clients with strategic tax planning and deliver exceptional service that encourages repeat business and client growth.Key Responsibilities:Conduct initial consultations and gather necessary client documentationAdvise clients on the tax preparation process, deductions, credits, and liabilitiesPrepare and file accurate individual and business tax returns in a timely mannerAnalyze financial and tax data to optimize client outcomesAudit all forms and ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with current tax lawsRespond to inquiries and correspondence from clients and tax authoritiesProvide proactive tax planning strategies for future yearsMaintain confidentiality and security of sensitive financial informationBuild long-term client relationships and support business development through excellent serviceSign tax returns on behalf of clients when authorized Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldActive PTIN and completion of the Registered Tax Return Preparer Test (or equivalent certification)Minimum of 5 years of professional tax preparation experienceIn-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulationsProficient in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written)Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and integrityCPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is a plus
