Heavy Duty Mechanic

Location: Oakhurst, CA (Primary shop location)
Pay Rate: $40–$50 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-time

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at our Oakhurst shop. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty equipment and diesel-powered vehicles to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform heavy-duty equipment repair and preventive maintenance
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines
• Diagnose and repair DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) systems
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems
• Perform electrical diagnostics and repairs
• Conduct DOT annual inspections in compliance with regulations
• Accurately document repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of heavy-duty or diesel mechanic experience
• Strong diagnostic skills in diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and DEF systems
• Ability to perform DOT annual inspections
• Must provide and maintain own basic tools
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant mechanic or diesel certifications preferred

Tools & Equipment

• Technician must supply personal tools
• Employer provides special service tools

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly wage of $40–$50, based on experience
• Stable shop-based work at the Oakhurst location
