Position Title: Career Coach Associate
Reports to: Center Manager
Status: Non-Exempt
Type: Full-Time
Summary: The career coach associate serves as the first point of contact for the customers. This position provides assistance in a courteous, timely and professional manner and coordinates tasks with the career coaches to assist in duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adheres to the mission of SER
- Attends all staff meetings
- Answers incoming phone calls and directs caller to appropriate department
- Performs general clerical tasks including scanning, faxing, copying, filing and other office duties
- Supervises senior volunteers
- Maintains reception area and computer resource center
- Supports the career coaches with paper work
- Assist with supply orders and organizing the office and coordinating career coach appointments
- Greets customers and determines their general needs
- Provides support to career coaches with case load and making phone calls
- Provides support to career coaches with filing and following with monthly phone calls
- Refers them to the appropriate function within the office or within the workforce delivery system
- Organizes the office calendar and coordinates spaces for workshops and activities
- Assist and support internal and external events
- Maintains the referral platform and provides feedback on referrals and process
- Maintains knowledge of programs in the office and communicates with staff on potential referrals.
- Performing various other career coaching tasks, including case noting, and record keeping.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required:
- High school degree or equivalent
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Programs)
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills
- Bilingual (Spanish)

- Previous office experience
