Job Summary:
-
Supports and/or leads (as appropriate) the organization’s process of selecting clinically acceptable supplies in a cost-effective manner. This individual will lead value analysis committee(s) and work on sourcing supplies while considering the total cost of acquisition.

Education:
-
Position requires a high school diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in supply chain management, business, finance, or medical concentration, preferred.

Registration/Certification/Licensure:
-
Unexpired, unsuspended driver’s license if incumbent will be required to drive as part of their routine job duties.

Experience:
-
- Position requires 2+ years of clinical and/or supply chain experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Familiarity with all aspects of inventory management including receiving, par leveling, transportation, and distribution of supplies.
- Familiarity with purchasing processes.
- Prior data analysis experience.
- Experience using Meditech and familiarity with medical supplies and devices, preferred.

Other Requirements:

Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.

Demonstrated organizational, mathematical, and analytical skills required to effectively perform job duties.

Effectively communicates with all staff by implementing organization-wide communication techniques as a daily practice.

Demonstrated proficiency of computer skills necessary to effectively complete position requirement—strong MS Excel and Meditech experience, preferred; MS Word, and web-based applications.

Previous experience and demonstrated professionalism in effectively communicating with customers and in promoting a positive service atmosphere.

Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment producing quality work.

Effectively performs other departmental duties and assignments within the relative scope of the position when the need arises within the department.
