Quality Technician Intern
DUTIES:
• Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist the Quality team with IATF 16949 Quality Management System activities for Ohio and Michigan offices.
- Support document control processes, including reviewing, organizing, and maintaining controlled documents in accordance with IATF and customer-specific requirements.
- Assist as a point of contact for internal teams regarding QMS documentation and audit-related questions.
- Participate in IATF 16949 internal and external audits as an observer or support role.
- Assist with internal audit preparation, including scheduling support, audit documentation, and audit plan tracking.
- Help track internal and external audit findings and support corrective action follow-up activities.
- Assist in reviewing corrective actions to ensure they align with quality requirements and company procedures.
- Support training activities, including preparation of document control and quality training materials for new hires.
- Assist with developing and updating process documentation, work instructions, and training materials.
- Help track and monitor quality-related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality documentation meets IATF and customer requirements.
- Support other Quality Assurance projects and tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate's or bachelor's degree in quality, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Interest in Quality Management Systems, auditing, and automotive manufacturing standards.
- Basic understanding of quality concepts or coursework related to quality systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with document control systems or PLEX software is beneficial but not required.
