The Manager of Global Project Controlling & Financial Planning & Analysis will play a critical leadership role in driving global project financial performance, forecasting accuracy, and finance transformation initiatives. Partnering closely with the Director of Finance, this position oversees project cost control, budgeting, reporting, and FP&A activities across U.S. and Mexico operations. The ideal candidate brings deep project finance expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and a track record of improving financial systems and processes in a manufacturing environment.

Details about the role:

Work location: Shelby Township, MI

Work type: On-site at local Paslin locations.  Not available for remote work.

Expected hours of work: Typical work schedules for this site are flexible around core business hours of 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday.

Overtime: This position is for regular, full-time work and may require coming in early, working late, or working on weekends to meet the needs of the business.

Travel: This position may require occasional travel to customer sites or local travel to other Paslin locations.

Work Environment: This position operates in an office and a manufacturing site environment.  This is a safety sensitive role, which includes occasionally working around moving equipment and machinery.

Direct Reports: This position reports to the Director of Finance. This role has direct reports and is responsible for the team members’ professional development, providing direction and feedback, and tracking performance, time and attendance.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use close visual focus, sit for up to 2-hour periods, use computers and other basic office equipment, and to move around the work spaces.

Candidate Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  2. Minimum 10 years of experience in project controlling, FP&A, or a finance leadership role within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  3. Demonstrated success in leading finance transformation initiatives and implementing financial systems and process improvements.
  4. Strong understanding of project finance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  5. Proficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred), financial platforms, and Microsoft Office tools.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across functions and levels.
  7. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Solid knowledge of project costing, standard costing, GAAP, and cash flow management.
