Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Excluding official Federal Holidays)

General Description: General Description: We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Site Operation Coordinator (SOC) to ensure the secure handling of confidential information for the destruction of various Veterans Affairs (VA) facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, moving, and maintaining secure shred bins containing Personal Identifiable Information (PII), Protected Health Information (PHI), and VA Sensitive or Classified Information
Key Responsibilities:
- Reliable Transportation: Report daily to the Dallas VAMC location.
- Secure Handling: Ensure all documents/records designated for destruction are securely contained during transfer from their location to the shredding truck, preventing any loss or misplacement.
- Bin Management:
- Confirm and maintain accurate records of all bin locations at each facility.
- Gather collection bags and remove or swap out security containers as needed.
- Push materials to designated locations within each facility.
- Maintain the containers' appearance and functionality, addressing issues such as broken locks, cleanliness, and peeling logos.
- Documentation: Confirm that the Certificate of Destruction (COD) is provided to the designated Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
- Collaboration: Assist the shredding truck technician at each VA facility. Note that this role does not involve operating the shredding truck itself.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to all security protocols, ensuring that at no time will the SOC inspect, view, peruse, copy, or examine any confidential material or documents intended for shredding. You will also never touch the paper or allow VA employees to remove it from the container.
- Professionalism: Wear the company-provided logo shirt and photo identification badge at all times while on duty.
- Customer Focus: Perform all duties necessary to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Customer service or related experience.
- Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and best practices for sensitive document handling and destruction. (https://www.hhs.gov/hipaa/index.html)
Background Check/Drug Test/Security Clearance: Successful completion of a comprehensive background check at the time of application and throughout employment is required. You will also need to successfully complete drug testing in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. A successful Security Clearance in accordance with the contract may be required.
Physical Requirements: Excellent physical ability is required. You must be able to consistently push and/or pull 250 (+/-) pounds of paper and perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, stooping, and twisting to remove confidential material from locked executive security containers (32, 64, and 95-gallon sizes).
