About this position

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Medical-Surgical Nursing to lead our Med-Surg department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, optimizing departmental operations, and fostering a culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations of the Medical-Surgical Department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Implement continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and service delivery.
Conduct daily nurse leader rounds to manage patient expectations and experiences.
Ensure staff adherence to hourly rounding protocols.
Promote a culture of recognition through staff acknowledgment and "Manage Up" practices.
Serve as a liaison among patients, their representatives, physicians, and employees.
Optimize resource utilization to maximize productivity and minimize costs.

Qualifications:

Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license or recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements).
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Current Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) certification or obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Fingerprint clearance as required.
Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in a Medical-Surgical department within an acute care setting.JazzHR Help
