About this position

Summary/Objective

The Patient Care Representative plays a crucial role in facilitating patient appointments and procedures within a contact center environment. They are responsible for scheduling new and established patient appointments, distributing necessary paperwork, and coordinating recall appointments. 


Essential Functions

  • Schedule appointments for new and established patients, ensuring efficient utilization of office resources. 
  • Distribute appropriate paperwork to patients with upcoming visits or procedures, maintaining accurate records. 
  • Coordinate recall appointments to ensure timely follow-up care for patients. 
  • Extensive phone and computer usage to manage scheduling tasks effectively. 
  • Maintain a pleasant phone manner and provide exceptional customer service to patients. 
  • Collaborate with the Call Center Manager and other team members to ensure smooth operations and patient satisfaction.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional medical office environment, utilizing standard office equipment. 


Physical Demands

The physical demands include standing, walking, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 25 pounds. 


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, with an 8-hour shift Monday through Friday. No weekends are required. 


Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Requirements

Education and Experience? 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent 
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical or office setting. 
  • Experience with EMR systems is preferred. 

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

  • Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer.
