Position Overview

Albizu University seeks qualified applicants for the Licensed Clinical Psychologist – Clinical Coordinator position at the Albizu Clinic (Goodman Psychological Services Center). This role combines direct clinical service, clinical supervision, and leadership of clinic operations, quality of care, and clinical systems. The clinic serves as a primary training site for doctoral students enrolled in the APA-accredited PsyD in Clinical Psychology and Internship Programs.

 

General Responsibilities

Provide direct clinical services in accordance with Florida Board of Psychology standards.Provide clinical supervision to trainees, including doctoral students, interns, postdoctoral fellows, and associate psychologists.Ensure compliance with APA Standards of Accreditation for Health Service Psychology, APA Accreditation Operating Procedures, the APA Ethics Code, and applicable state and federal regulations.Ensure delivery of high-quality psychological services in both in-person and telehealth modalities in compliance with HIPAA requirements.

 

Specific Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Coordination

Provide evidence-based psychological assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and intervention.Oversee clinical operations and service delivery workflows across programs and teams.Monitor and evaluate clinical quality indicators (e.g., caseload distribution, treatment outcomes, access to care).Provide case consultation to enhance clinical decision-making and quality of care.

 

Supervision & Training

Provide individual and group clinical supervision to licensed and supervised trainees.Facilitate training, professional development, and competency-based growth for clinical staff.Conduct ongoing evaluation of practicum students’ performance; use outcome and performance data to adjust caseloads, assignments, and supervision to optimize quality of care and productivity.

 

Program Administration

Develop, implement, and maintain clinical policies, procedures, and documentation standards.Coordinate interdisciplinary case reviews and treatment planning meetings.Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, accreditation, and payer requirements, including documentation and billing standards.

 

Quality Assurance & Improvement

Conduct chart reviews, clinical audits, and documentation reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and clinical appropriateness.Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives, including outcomes tracking and service enhancements.Communicate clinical, administrative, and program expectations to supervisees and ensure adherence to state and federal mandates.Provide ongoing training to support high-quality clinical documentation.

 

Collaboration & Communication

Collaborate with executive leadership on clinical strategy, staffing, and operational needs.Represent the clinic in organizational planning and stakeholder meetings.Maintain relationships with referral sources and community partners.Review and manage caseload assignments with supervisees on a regular basis to ensure continuity of care and balanced workloads.Report directly to the Albizu Clinic’s Director.

 

 

Minimum Requirements: 

Clinical Psychology Ph.D. or Psy.D. degree from an APA-accredited program.  Current, unrestricted Florida psychologist license (or ability to transfer via endorsement).Knowledge and experience with the Florida Mental Health Act, commonly referred to as the Baker Act.Pass a background clearance check. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to foster a positive learning environment.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-modality environment.
