Description:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage in classroom activities ensuring to support students to ensure a positive experience.
- Assist the Teaching Artist in ensuring student success in curriculum. Assist with accommodating, modifying, and supporting students for individualized success.
- Assist with classroom set-up/clean-up as directed by the Education full-time staff and Teaching Artists.
- Work with volunteers, teaching assistants, Education Apprentices, Teaching Artists, and other Education Staff to ensure proper oversight of students.
- Observing the two-person rule, ensure that students are given bathroom breaks and/or changing needs are met.
- Supporting students by ensuring classroom supplies and materials needed are readily accessible.
- Assist in directing
- Providing guidance to volunteers.
- Encourage social interactions between students, camp staff, and volunteers.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Experience in theatre arts preferred
- Creative, collaborative, and enthusiastic approach
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability and commitment to working with diverse groups in terms of gender expression, race, sexual orientation, religion, ability, age, class and immigrant status.
