Summary:
The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the equipment needed to run a business. 
 
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
How you will make contributions that matter:
  • Monitor the general conditions of company buildings and equipment to ensure high quality appearance and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair all electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to understand and read electrical schematics and use various multimeters.
  • Complete scheduled, preventative, and emergency repairs in a safe and timely manner.
  • Follow an established service for preventative maintenance of equipment, warehouses, facilities, and company properties.  Inclusive of Hydraulic, and Pneumatic operation.
  • Ability to prioritize and respond to all equipment breakdowns.
  • General understanding of fire and alarm systems.
  • Ensure handling of hazardous materials such as paints, solvents, chemicals, and fertilizers complies with state and federal regulations.
  • Be a self-starter and work along or in a team environment.
  • Be able to work in all temp zones related to freezer, cooler, and ambients spaces.
  • Any other responsibility asked to be performed.
  • Willingness to work off shift hours.
 
What You'll Bring:
  • Education – High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience – 3 years of general maintenance experience.
  • Other Required Skills or Abilities – Desire to work hard, quick learner, ability to communicate effectively, ability to read and follow safety regulations, ability to use basic maintenance equipment such as saws, drills, testers, lifts, and floor maintenance equipment, ability to determine material requirements for specific and/or specialized projects, ability to work at elevated heights of up to 50 feet, analyzing information, and equipment maintenance, computer software, Excel, Word, Power Point.

Education – High school diploma or equivalent.
 
Language Skills – Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, business plans, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, customers or vendors, etc.
 
Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
 
Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
 
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations  - Need a valid state driver's license.
