Job Summary

 

The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for optimizing production operations for wafer test and logistics. Major responsibilities include capacity planning, wafer logistics and Inventory management, Test Floor planning, KPI setup and review, optimization of logistics systems and software, and improving efficiency throughout the Operations organization. 

 

Responsibilities:

Capacity and Cost model for Operations, both current and future product planningTest and optimize logistics software, such as Oracle and ERP systems, in partnership with Planning, Finance, and VendorsEstablish standard process methodologies and tools to enable efficient workflows. Create and improve necessary documentation Improve shipping and receiving of materials to domestic and international locationsInventory management at Santa Clara siteOwn and analyze manufacturing KPIs (cycle time, WIP, utilization, OTD) to drive operational improvementsPerform bottleneck and what if capacity analysis to support product mix changes and rampsDevelop dashboards and recurring reports for wafer operations and logistics performance

 

Qualifications & Requirements (Education must be included): 

Bachelors or Masters degree in Industrial Engineering or similar fieldFamiliarity with Semiconductor supply chain and manufacturingKnowledge of smart manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and/or Lean Manufacturing.
SQL for data extraction and analysis from MES / ERP systemsExperience with MES / manufacturing databases and data visualization tools 
Expert in Planning Software tools such as Monday, Access, 
Expert in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and computer tasks required.Computer programming skills are a plus, especially Python and C++ scriptingMust have good planning skills and be able to work independently without supervision.

The actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
