The mine is in its 25th year of operation producing premium PCI metallurgical coal for use in steel manufacturing. About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised, adaptable, and proactive Site Administrator to provide maternity leave cover within our onsite team.

Reporting to the People & Engagement Manager, this position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless day-to-day coordination of site administration activities. Working in a fast-paced operational mining environment, you will be responsible for supporting accommodation coordination, workforce logistics, onboarding processes, compliance documentation, reporting, and broader site support functions.

You will be someone who thrives on structure and detail, confidently manages competing priorities, and takes ownership of tasks to ensure nothing slips through the cracks. The role requires discretion, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with operational leaders and support functions.


The opportunity:

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate site accommodation bookings, room allocations, and village liaison
  • Manage onboarding documentation, site access requirements, and compliance records
  • Maintain accurate workforce data and employee documentation
  • Support payroll processing and timesheet administration activities
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and bus bookings for site personnel
  • Provide high-level administrative support to the Leadership Team
  • Prepare reports, workforce data summaries, and site correspondence
  • Liaise professionally with contractors, employees, labour hire providers, and village stakeholders

About you: 

  • To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
  • Previous experience in site administration, HR administration, or operational support (experience within mining or heavy industry highly regarded)
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • High attention to detail and strong data accuracy capability
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Professional discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and willingness to take initiative
