POSITION OVERVIEW

The Recovery Specialist Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the quality and effectiveness of recovery services provided. The position incorporates direct staff supervision and a range of administrative tasks related to clinical operations. She/he is responsible for maintaining CCBHC regulatory compliance.

The Recovery Specialist Supervisor will provide administrative and clinical supervision of clinical activities as directed by the Program Administrator. The Recovery Specialist Supervisor ensures strengths based, person centered quality of care provided in a culturally and linguistically meaningful therapeutic environment. It is expected that the Recovery Specialist Supervisor will have satisfactory attendance and will perform these functions as assigned in a competent, cooperative, and timely manner. KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the recovery specialist team (Case Manager(s), Peer(s), & Psychiatric Rehabilitative Worker) while establishing effective and efficient operations in accordance with the agency, CCBHC, OMH & OASAS regulations.
  • Manage and supervise the recovery specialist team this includes peer support specialists, psychiatric rehabilitative workers, and targeted cases managers, through hiring, orientation, training and total performance management ensuring the provision of comprehensive and integrated services while ensuring workflows and regulations are being appropriately implemented
  • Monitor high-risk cases in conjunction with the clinical staff to ensure high-risk needs are being addressed effectively leading to minimization of safety concerns
  • Participate in clinical and administrative meetings, including but not limited to High Risk, Quality Assurance, PSYCKES, Care Transitions Network, QI Metrics, Incident Review Committee, and staff meetings.
  • Assist in crisis management and oversee subordinate’s incident reporting to appropriate agencies (Convercent, APS, Justice Center, NIMRS)
  • Oversee and monitor the field component within the program to ensure it aligns with the regulations and maintains both safety of staff and client
  • Work with clinical supervisor to ensure intake workflows align with regulations and schedule support open access schedules
  • Provide ongoing training to staff for applications and screenings with appropriate documentation to support client and program such as AHC screening, HRA applications, SSI/SSD process, and immigration paperwork
  • Develop and coordinate linkages within the community to enhance community resources and mitigate risks such as food pantries, employment agencies, vocational programs, benefit agencies, legal aid, and other miscellaneous items (clothing, furniture, etc.)
  • Review charts and documentation for compliance with a goal of maintaining 100% compliance and addressing any gaps or barriers that may arise
  • Coordinate and lead the quarterly Consumer Advisor Board (CAB) meetings along with the Patient Satisfaction surveys to enhance the program and addressing any gaps and recommendations presented by the clients
  • Develop and coordinate quarterly group and events schedule that align with programmatic and client needs to allow for a space to enhance skills and support clients in building community support system
  • Complete special projects and other duties as instructed by the Program Administrator

REQUIREMENTS

Licenses & Degrees:

  • Licensed Master Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work

Language:

  • Bilingual – Spanish strongly preferred

Experience:

  • 3+ years previous relevant experience in a Mental or Behavioral Health environment required
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Previous experience in a behavioral health setting or in similar field preferred
  • Experience in working in an interdisciplinary team or similar fields preferred
  • Experience in development of group/events curriculum strongly preferred
  • Exceptional administrative and organizational skills
  • Experience utilizing electronic health records with the inclusion of clinician documentation
  • Experience with Microsoft word, excel spreadsheets, and other documenting systems to keep track of pertinent reporting items
