About the Role:

The Learning Specialist plays a pivotal role in enhancing the educational experiences within the health care and social assistance sector by designing and implementing effective learning programs tailored to adult learners. This position focuses on developing comprehensive instructional materials and blended learning solutions that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. The specialist will collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to create curricula that support continuous professional development and improve workforce competencies. By leveraging adult learning principles and learning management systems, the role ensures that training initiatives are engaging, accessible, and measurable in their impact. Ultimately, the Learning Specialist drives the advancement of knowledge and skills that contribute to improved patient care and organizational performance across diverse learning centers and environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Health Care Administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in instructional design and curriculum development, particularly within adult learning frameworks.
  • Proficiency with learning management systems and blended learning technologies.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and their application in professional development.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a health-related discipline.
  • Experience working within the health care or social assistance sectors.
  • Certification in instructional design or adult education (e.g., CPLP, ATD).
  • Familiarity with compliance and accreditation standards relevant to health care training.
  • Experience in data-driven evaluation methods and learning analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement instructional materials and blended learning programs tailored to adult learners in the health care and social assistance industry.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative subject matter experts to create curricula that meet both regulatory standards and organizational objectives.
  • Manage and optimize learning management systems to deliver, track, and report on training initiatives effectively.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs through assessments, feedback, and data analysis to continuously improve educational offerings.
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops, both in-person and virtually, to support diverse learning needs and promote knowledge retention.

Skills:

The Learning Specialist utilizes instructional design skills daily to create engaging and effective educational content that meets the unique needs of adult learners in health care settings. Salary Information

$40.0 - $50.0 Hourly Wage
