At VB Spine, our Advanced Quality Engineering (AQE) Interns play a meaningful role in supporting the development of innovative spine technologies that improve patient outcomes worldwide. This internship is ideal for students who are analytical, curious, and excited to apply classroom learning in a real-world medical device environment.
As an AQE Intern, you will collaborate closely with our Quality and Engineering teams, contributing to projects that support new product development while gaining exposure to regulatory standards, risk management, and design quality processes across global markets.
What You’ll Do:
- Support design, development, manufacturing, and risk management activities for new product development projects
- Analyze and help define critical quality attributes for products and processes using risk analysis techniques
- Participate in design verification and validation activities to ensure products meet performance and regulatory requirements
- Assist in analyzing post-market product performance to inform future development efforts
- Provide day-to-day support to the Quality Assurance team across ongoing initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and other business partners
- Document findings, analyses, and results clearly and accurately in alignment with quality system requirements
What You Bring:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employment-based sponsorship
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, evolving work setting
- Ability to exercise independent judgment while working collaboratively within a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and business acumen
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor

Compensation:
This is a paid internship position with an hourly rate of $30 per hour.
This role is based in Leesburg, VA or Allendale, NJ. While the position is open to non-local candidates, relocation and housing assistance are not provided, and candidates are responsible for all related expenses.
VB Spine reserves the right to offer compensation outside of this listed range. Final compensation is determined on a case-by-case basis and considers a variety of factors including experience level, skillset, and market conditions.
