Who We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a Social Media Specialist to develop high-quality social media strategies and content to drive engagement, conversions, and long-term brand growth across multiple platforms.
Our preferred candidate is certified in digital marketing or social media marketing. They will have prior experience working on a global team in the AEC industry or in sports, entertainment or live events.
What Your Day Could Consist Of:
  • Create compelling image-based, multimedia and written content informed by strategy, audience insights and performance data.
  • Building authentic relationships with audiences through active engagement, moderation, and timely responses that foster loyalty and trust.
  • Ensuring social media content adheres to Populous' brand identity.
  • Monitoring and interpreting analytics, identifying trends and translating insights into actionable optimizations for improved performance.
  • Ownership and maintenance of social content calendars, ensuring consistent cadence, campaign alignment and timely execution while working with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements For Success:
  • Proven social media strategist with deep knowledge of content planning, platform algorithms, audience behavior and integrated campaign development aligned with business goals.
  • Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g. Sprout, paid ads) and strong understanding of algorithms, AI and SEO to create engaging content.
  • Understanding of social media KPI's.
  • Skilled in content strategy and creation with an ability to leverage data and insights to inform decision making.
  • Community management expertise that builds authentic relationships.
  • Highly adaptable and communicative with a creative and collaborative mindset.
  • Highly organized and skilled in project management, able to juggle multiple campaigns.
  • Highly self-motivated and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Essential Qualifications:
Required:
  • Accredited bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in marketing, communications, journalism or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and executing both organic and paid social media strategies that drive engagement, conversions and long-term brand growth across multiple platforms.
  • Experience using InDesign and Photoshop.
Preferred:
  • Certification in digital marketing or social media marketing is preferred.
  • Global team experience is preferred.
  • Sports, entertainment, live event or AEC experience is preferred.
Additional Details:
  • Travel will be required, up to 25%.
  • Position involves sedentary work, requiring prolonged periods of sitting, frequent use of a computer and occasional movement in an office environment.
