About this position

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Review and determine basic specifications from existing product calculators and worksheets.
  2. Review project instructions and blueprints to ascertain specifications, procedures, and objectives.
  3. Perform all clerical and application tasks associated with the Engineering department.  Use of existing software and electronic processes including, but not limited to SAP, Excel, Word, Access and Outlook.
  4. Prepare drawings, BOM’s, and necessary documentation to ensure smooth and accurate flow of product production. This requires working knowledge of SAP, Autodesk and Microsoft Office.
  5. As required, conduct DXF preparation or modification.
  6. Inspect BOM’s, Drawings and DXF files for clarity and correct erroneous drawings.
  7. Check dimensions of materials, components or assemblies for conformance.
  8. Evaluate designs by measuring drawing dimensions and comparing with original design specifications.
  9. Confirm and process replacement part orders to the extent of providing production with proper documentation.
  10. Process shop floor changes as required using the appropriate procedures to provide proper documentation to production.
  11. Performs other duties as required by the supervisor.
  12. Comply with all company policies and procedures as required.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  1. Prefer 1 year of sales, customer service and/or data entry experience.
  2. Prefer 2 years of experience in a Manufacturing and or Engineering environment.
  3. SAP VC (Variant Configuration) knowledge beneficial.   Some required qualifications are not required if SAP VC knowledge is possessed.

    1. Minimum requirement of an Associate Degree or Vocational Certification Training in computer design/drafting fields.
    2. Possess a knowledge of product processing and drafting.
    3. Ability to read and create drawings, BOM’s and other engineering documentation.
    4. Possess a knowledge of AutoDesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Products and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
    5. Willing to work occasional weekends as needed.
