This position involves working as a team and performing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, emptying trash, disinfecting bathrooms, and replenishing supplies. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, professional environment for employees and visitors. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide variety of cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, spot cleaning, and any other task assigned by the manager
• Dust and wipe down furniture, windowsills, light fixtures, and other surfaces
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and replenishing supplies (toilet paper, soap, etc.)
• Empty trash cans around the building and dispose of waste in a safe and proper manner
• Clean and disinfect high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and handrails
• Maintain cleanliness of entrance and exit areas, including sweeping walkways and removing debris
• Ensure cleaning supplies and chemicals are used in accordance with safety guidelines and company policies
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the Regional Manager
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Ensure the building is kept safe from hazards such as slippery floors or blocked exit routes
• Keep the Janitor's space in a neat and clean condition and maintain cleaning equipment in proper working condition
• Adapt to changing policies, procedures, and/or duties as directed by management 

Special Cleaning Tasks:

• Follow the building’s cleaning schedule

Experience:

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team

Skills:

• Ability to work efficiently and prioritize tasks
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
• Ability to work in a variety of environments, including indoors and outdoors (weather permitting)
• Capable of using cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and floor scrubbers

Other Requirements:

• Reliable transportation to and from the job site
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening (if required by the client)
• Must be punctual, dependable, and maintain a positive attitude.

Working Conditions:

Schedule: This position requires occasional flexibility to complete necessary work. 

Environment: The role involves cleaning various areas within the assigned building, including entryways, offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas. Some outdoor work may be required.

Uniform: Company shirts and any required PPE (personal protective equipment) will be provided. Additional Marquis shirts/sweatshirts will be available for purchase at an additional cost. Khaki pants are also required in this role.

Training: On-the-job training will be provided to ensure proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
