About this position
AGS has an opening for a Senior Civil Engineer/Project Engineer. Responsibilities:AGS is looking for Senior Civil Engineer/Project Engineer to be the Project Manager for projects with a variety of clients including SFMTA, SFPUC, SF Public Works, SFO, SF Rec and Parks, City of Oakland, and others. Applicant should have a strong background managing projects/clients, providing engineering expertise and oversight to staff, and reviewing/producing design work in AutoCAD Civil 3D. AGS has a small but strong team of 7 Civil Engineers who work as a team on projects, providing support and collaborate to ensure great work is submitted on time. AGS is a multidisciplinary company that also providing Geotechnical, Structural, Architectural and Construction Management services. AGS Civil works as the Prime consultant or part of a Joint Venture on many projects and currently has projects on park design/improvements, roadway utility design/improvements, coastal resilience design/improvements, ocean beach design/improvements, pavement restoration, high transmission pipelines, emergency fire water pipelines, groundwater voc treatment, groundwater wells, ADA curb ramps, and many more.
Applicant responsibilities will include:Management of Multiple Projects, Staff, and SubconsultantsManagement of Project Budgets and SchedulesCoordination With Other Design Firms, Clients, and Public AgenciesBusiness Development and Proposal WritingWater System DesignWater Resources ExperienceHydraulics and HydrologySchematic Design, Design Development, and Construction DocumentsPlans and SpecificationsSite Grading and DrainageSanitary Sewer and Storm DrainRoadwaysUtility Design and CoordinationSustainability, LID and Stormwater ManagementLand Development QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED SKILLS BS Degree in Civil Engineering.5+ Years of Work Experience.PE.Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, StormCAD, AutoTurn or other related software is desired.Good report writing skills.Highly dependable with outstanding attention to detail.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).Responsible, committed and self-motivated.Team player and adaptable to changing priorities.Ability to stay organized, multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure.
