Intake Technician – Hickory Behavioral at Cambridge

About The Role:
- The Intake Technician is a key member of the Intake Team serving as the first point of contact for all patients.
- Under the immediate supervision of the Intake Director, the Intake Technician is responsible for receiving and directing visitors, vendors, and patients to appropriate locations and parties. They will also assist patients with paperwork and enter patient health information into the database.

Job Qualifications
- Two years of reception experience (or equivalent customer related ability)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and excellent customer relationship skills
- Computer proficiency, including Excel, Word, Publisher, and PowerPoint required.
- An ability to learn quickly, multi-task, and utilize effective communication skills, including both telephone and in-person.
- Positive demeanor and clear understanding of professional boundaries with patients Ability to follow directives explicitly, adhere to facility policies, provide patient-driven customer service, and exercise time management skills.
- Completion of CPR and CPI within first 30 days of employment
- Schedule flexibility, holiday, and weekend rotation are REQUIRED.
- Must hold a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
Key Responsibilities
- Answering, assisting, and directing all incoming telephone calls to appropriate parties in a professional and courteous manner
- Performing related patient information including verifying health coverage, handling complaints, and schedules
- May coordinate travel arrangements and process firm bills for approval/payment.
- Monitor daily census and bed grid.
- Assist with intake process including but not limited to, monitoring intakes, inventory belongings, and conducting safety checks.
- Providing administrative support when needed Prepare and maintain patient charts Adheres to training and development standards set forth by Hickory, Joint Commission, and State Regulations
- Upholds familiarity with State and Federal laws and regulations.
As this is not an all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned as required by Patient and Facility needs.
Compensation: $12.00- $16.00
