SharePoint & Power BI Developer Position

About this position

The SharePoint & Power BI Developer designs, develops, and supports enterprise solutions within Microsoft 365, with a primary focus on SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and Power BI. This role partners with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into scalable collaboration platforms, automated workflows, and data-driven reporting solutions. The Developer will lead the architecture, development, optimization, and governance of SharePoint environments and business intelligence dashboards to enhance productivity and decision-making across the organization.


Major Job Functions

• Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint Online sites, Data Lake, document libraries, lists, permissions models, and governance structures

• Experience with integrating system data via ETL’s, API’s, and other integration tools would be beneficial.  

• Develop and optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models to support operational and executive decision-making

•  Gather and document business and technical requirements for collaboration, automation, and reporting solutions

• Build and maintain Power Platform solutions, including Power Automate workflows and Power Apps applications

• Create data models and transform data from multiple sources into usable reporting structures

• Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance within SharePoint and Power BI

• Manage site architecture, metadata strategy, content lifecycle policies, and document management standards

• Troubleshoot performance, permissions, data refresh, and integration issues

• Coordinate user acceptance testing and support solution deployment

• Provide ongoing system enhancements and continuous improvement recommendations

• Present dashboards, findings, and solution recommendations to leadership as needed

• Develop documentation and training materials to support end-user adoption

• Collaborate with IT teams on integrations between Microsoft 365, ERP systems, data warehouses, and third-party platforms


Requirements

  

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work experience) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field

• Proven experience developing solutions in SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365

• Strong experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and report optimization

• Experience with Power Automate and Power Apps

• Understanding of data governance, data modeling concepts, and ETL processes

• Experience integrating SharePoint and Power BI with external data sources (SQL, APIs, ERP systems, etc.)

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Experience supporting executive-level reporting and operational dashboards preferred

  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Azure data services or data warehousing environments

• Familiarity with Microsoft Purview or M365 governance tools

• DAX and SQL knowledge would be preferred

• Aviation industry experience and/or education a plus
