Work Schedule:

This position requires full-time work of 40 plus hours per week during regular business hours with required flexibility from the employee to work extra hours to complete work when needed. Hybrid remote work potential, with substantial in-office work required. 

Objectives:

This position is responsible for performing and overseeing all financial operations, including financial reporting, inventory accounting, cash management, budgeting, payroll preparation, tax, and office management. 

Primary Responsibilities:

· Perform all day-to-day accounting functions ensuring accuracy and compliance with all rules, governing regulations, best practices, and company policies

· Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements

· Create internal and external reports including, but not limited to, weekly runs, annual fiscal reports, tax reports, budgets, invoices, and other ad-hoc reports as needed 

· Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and other ledger entries

· Provide cross-functional financial support to sales, purchasing, and operations teams

· Monitor inventory turns, obsolescence and overall inventory health; support purchasing and warehouse management of physical inventory levels

· Process payroll bi-weekly for 30+ employees; including making journal entries, calculating commissions, taxes, and other deductions

· Coordinate annual benefit renewal, open enrollment, and benefit eligibility and management

· Oversees the administration of the 401(k) plan

· Manage personnel files and data in the on-line HR systems, assist with status changes, maintain HR-related paperwork

· Enter trade and expense vendor invoices

· Oversee balance sheet integrity, including cash, credit lines, inventory, AR/AP, fixed assets, accruals, etc.

· Perform financial analysis regarding cash flow projections, forecasting, budgeting, and other financial aspects of the company, and report to management

· Manage the cash disbursement activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, petty cash, employee expense reports, commission program management, payroll processing, and total corporate payroll tax compliance

· Create new vendor profiles in system and assists in maintaining data integrity in the system

· Crosstrain and assist with the collection of receivables and processing customer invoices

· Manage expense report reimbursement, company credit card usage reviews & payments, and other similar HR/financial functions

Other Responsibilities:

· Provide coordination of IT functions, CRM, ERP, and other systems working with 3rd parties

· Oversee various functions in the office such as office supplies and other expenses 

· Complete ad-hoc accounting, general office functions, and other duties as needed

Requirements:

  

Qualifications & Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in accounting required (master’s degree and/or CPA preferred) 

· Minimum 8-10 years related experience in accounting, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment

· Demonstrate advanced Excel skills and other computer skills 

· Must be passionately self-motivated and extremely detail-oriented

· Must be capable of prioritizing tasks, managing time, and delegating appropriately

· Demonstrate working knowledge of accounting practices and procedures, standard management principles and practices, and standard business practices 

· Required experience and strong knowledge of ERP and business intelligence software  (experience with Infor preferred)

· Knowledge of company policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws and regulations, and human resource management practices 

· Ability to achieve results utilizing others, leading cross functional teams, and carrying out individual responsibilities

· Strong verbal and written communication skills
