POSITION SUMMARY

The Construction Escort's primary function is to provide day to day security in support of security facility construction efforts.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Escort uncleared workers to the restroom, break rooms, lunch areas and other areas as required while keeping them in sigh while in secured environments.
  • Observe uncleared workers while they perform their work duties to ensure they are not accessing sensitive or classified areas, documents, and/or materials.Maintain line of sight of escorted personnel, equipment and vehicles at all times.
  • Ensure all security protocols are strictly adhered to by all personnel and visitors.
  • Ensure that all persons, packages, bags, boxes, crates, vehicles, or other means of introducing material onto the construction site or into the secure areas are inspected for questionable or prohibited items.
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Report on daily activities and any security incidents or safety concerns.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities


Salary Information

$20 - $25 Hourly Wage

Requirements

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in construction surveillance, security, or a related field is preferred, but not required.


ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Attention to detail and strong observational skills
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to work without direct supervision


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.


EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

  

  • U.S. Citizenship Required: As a federal contractor supporting the U.S. warfighter, it is required that all employees in this role be United States citizens in compliance with government contract and security requirements.
  • Background Check: Must be able to successfully pass an initial background screening.
  • Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. The selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, as required by the position.
  • Work Schedule Flexibility: Occasional overtime and alternate shifts may be required to meet customer schedules, critical deadlines, or program milestones.
  • Travel Requirements: Must be able and willing to travel domestically and, on occasion, internationally to customer sites, partner locations, or project meetings in support of contract objectives.
  • Drug-Free Workplace: ASI maintains a Drug-Free Workplace. Applicants and employees are subject to pre-employment and random drug testing in accordance with company policy.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job:

  • Must be able to stand, sit, bend, walk, kneel, and other related physical activities for long periods of time.
  • Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus


WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work may be indoors or outdoors and include a variety of weather conditions.
  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
  • Machinery operation or proximity requires the use of safety equipment to include but is not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats. Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud in an open bay manufacturing area.
