Position Overview: Activities Assistant

As an Activities Assistant, you will help create and lead programs that promote the well-being of our residents. Your creativity, compassion, and strong communication skills will play a key role in keeping residents engaged, active, and connected. You will have the opportunity to bring joy and meaningful experiences into their daily lives.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead daily activities that support residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being

  • Assist with organizing special events and group outings

  • Track resident participation and provide updates on progress

  • Work closely with nursing and care teams to ensure resident needs are met

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized activity area

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience planning and running activities for older adults

  • Knowledge of therapeutic recreation practices
