Position Overview: Activities Assistant
As an Activities Assistant, you will help create and lead programs that promote the well-being of our residents. Your creativity, compassion, and strong communication skills will play a key role in keeping residents engaged, active, and connected. You will have the opportunity to bring joy and meaningful experiences into their daily lives.
Responsibilities
Plan and lead daily activities that support residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being
Assist with organizing special events and group outings
Track resident participation and provide updates on progress
Work closely with nursing and care teams to ensure resident needs are met
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized activity area
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Experience planning and running activities for older adults
Knowledge of therapeutic recreation practices
