Job Title: Pharmacy Assistant
Department: Outpatient Specialty Pharmacy
Location: Wilson Pharmacy (1425 Portland Avenue, Rochester, NY 14618)

Hours Per Week: 40 hours/Full-time
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m.- 5 p.m.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Medication Management. Properly operate the ADMs (Automatic Dispensing Machines); prepack bulk medication and repackage into individual size packaging; prepare all medications in a sterile and clean environment; fill and document patient orders; properly dispose of medication
    • Delivery & Care. Round to floors and deliver medications or pharmaceutical supplies to patients, the nursing station, or surgery; add measured drugs or nutrients to intravenous solutions
    • Computer Utilization. Properly operate the EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system; use the pharmacy information system to run reports and access medication data; compile and send orders

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • No experience required.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Organized with a great attention to detail

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

    PAY RANGE: $17.60 - $18.60

    The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
