About this position

    

Position Summary:  OneSource Supply Solutions is a woman-owned electrical distributor, providing products and services to electrical utilities and contractors in California and Hawaii. As a Project Manager (PM), you will be the inside sales and project management support for Public Power and EPC Contractor accounts, as assigned by the Vice President of Sales. You will be part of a team to solicit and support day-to-day stock purchases, as well as ongoing direct project business.  You will position OSS as the primary supplier of electrical supplies by delivering exceptional customer service, communication, and solutions.  You will also use your negotiating and operations skills to maximize profitability and customer experience. Our ideal candidate can identify customer needs and is passionate about exceeding client expectations.


Compensation: $80,000 - $120,000 annual salary + annual bonus potential of 15% 

What you will do as a Project Manager:


Job Responsibilities:

  • All pre and post-order support for assigned customer projects, including:  Price & Availability, Order Entry, Shipping Schedules, Returns, soliciting vendor quotes, submitting contract bids/RFPs 
  • Project Manager for large, ongoing or fast-track/emergency projects 
  • Establish and maintain good working relations with all key vendors, including equipment as well as logistics/transport suppliers.
  • Assist customers and warehouse with expedited deliveries, shipping discrepancies and defective materials on job-related orders. 
  • Supplement the credit department by actively maintaining the accounts receivable balance of assigned customers 
  • Resolve customer order problems and complaints promptly 
  • Participate in customer and vendor/supplier meetings (virtual and in person) 
  • Identifies, uses, and maintains appropriate company and/or customer pricing systems.
  • Prepare shipping and delivery schedules, including coordination of onsite logistics
  • Procure and expedite job related material.
  • Maintain schedule of current and upcoming projects and track results.

Expectations beyond job responsibilities above:

· Travel to jobsites/project kickoff meetings, factory acceptance testing. as required 1x – 2x per month 

· Practice good interpersonal relations - using tact, courtesy, a positive attitude toward customers and co-workers, pleasant telephone and email etiquette, and positive representation of the company when at work or during company travel. 

· Easily handle difficulties with customers and coworkers with diplomacy and seek assistance when needed. 

· Support and promote company initiatives and processes.

· Acquires, uses, and continuously develops personal technical knowledge of relevant electrical products


Qualifications:


Education and/or Experience: 

· Electrical, Industrial, or Utility experience preferred 

· Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.S.) from a 4-year college or University; or

· 2+ years Project Manager experience in any industrial/utility or construction trade

· Equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum requirements:

· Basic understanding of principles of electricity and power, OR water and pressure

· Ability to read, analyze and interpret construction plans and drawings 

· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from small groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

· Ability to perform math functions representative of the job such as; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and metric scales.

· Possess current, in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook.

· Can work independently and collaboratively

· A metric-oriented, competitive attitude

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:


None

Immediate   supervision over a unit, section or department where the majority of the time is spent assigning, reviewing, checking work and eliminating ordinary   difficulties. Recommends candidates for hiring, termination; coaches and reviews performance, salary reviews and applies company policies.

Direct manager of a unit, section, group or department involving responsibility for results in terms of cost, methods and personnel. Full accountability for hiring, discipline, discharge, performance reviews, team development, salary administration, etc.
