Ophthalmic Technician
Georgia Vision Institute is a growing multi-specialty eye care practice that provides patients with access to routine, medical and surgical eye care.

Responsibilities and Duties
Properly record required patient heath information of patient into EHR system at the time of encounter, following established company policy.
Work-up, pre-test and room patients for doctors.
Assist with prescription refills and pre-authorizations.
Maintain proficiency on exam skills including checking Visual Acuity, Neutralizing Spectacles, Perform external light exam, Amsler grid testing, Motility testing, Confrontation Field, Refractometry, Retinoscopy, IOP measurement and Color vision testing.
Instill eye drops and medications as directed by physician
Contact lens evaluations
Maintain proficiency on all medical equipment, including Visual Fields, OCT testing, Corneal Topography, Optos Photos and IOL Master.
Assist with Triaging calls and emergencies by answering clinical questions, coordinating patient care, consulting with doctors or other appropriate staff when needed.
Understands basic ICD 10 and CPT coding
Complies with facility policies, including those relating to HIPAA
Performs other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned.
Preferred:
COA, COT, Scribe experience
