RDG Companies has a rare opportunity for a motivated individual looking to join a growing company as an employee owner. RDG is the parent company of PMI, Capitol View Construction, C.F. Acri and Capital View Excavating and Paving. We are currently searching for one full-time Corporate Accountant to join our team. This position reports to the RDG Controller and is responsible for performing accounting tasks for our corporations. Additional responsibilities will include a role in risk management. Rate: Based on experience.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Role and Responsibilities:

Perform monthly analytical review, variance analysis and financial statement preparation for all corporate operating entities.
Insurance renewals and risk management.
Draft annual projections and budgets and participate in year-end work paper preparation.
Reconcile bank account statements.
Assist in the filing of annual taxes and financial statement preparation.
Review and approve invoices to ensure accuracy.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
Construction/Job Cost accounting experience preferred.
Must possess a thorough understanding of business machine operations, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with AI tools for accounting a definite plus.
Ability to meet deadlines and work additional hours during certain times of the year to meet Accounting Department deadlines.
Analytical skills necessary in order to manage complex task assignments and provide direction/support to co-workers in task performance.
Interpersonal skills necessary in order to effectively deal with co-workers and outside persons.
