Job Title: Food Production Associate - 3rd Shift Smokehouse

Location: South Holland, IL

Shift: 3rd Shift 10:00 PM- 6:30 AM (Ability to start as early as 8:00 PM)

Pay Rate: Start: $19.00 per hour

JOB SUMMARY:

The Food Production Associate is responsible for effectively performing all the required duties of the position accurately, thoroughly, and safely while following all HACCP and GMP procedures.

  • Place meat products into the proper smokehouse.
  • Maintain all required control, set points, and temperature per smokehouse.
  • Correctly measure and place liquid smoke into the proper tank unit.
  • Connect tank unit to correct smokehouse.
  • Ensure Critical Control Points (CCPs) are met
  • Complete all necessary record keeping to include HACCP and tracking tickets.
  • Verification of time and temperature as needed for HACCP documents.
  • Communicate with packaging associates as needed to provide notification of the cook cycle ending.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be HACCP certified.
  • Must follow all HACCP and GMP procedures.
  • Self-starter capable of working on their own with limited supervision.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak basic English.
  • Must be able to stand on your feet for up to 8 -9 hours a day.
  • Must be able to work in 30-degree temperatures for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Must have good hand and eye coordination.
  • Ability to work 40+ hours per week and overtime if necessary.
  • Attention to detail.
