 The Glen Oaks Club, a premier club in Long Island, NY, is seeking Part-Time Servers. The Glen Oaks Club is known for providing its members with an exceptional and personalized experience. Summary:  Provides exceptional dining service to members and guests in a warm, professional, and efficient manner. This position requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the high standards of service expected in a private club environment 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Greet and serve members and guests promptly, courteously, and efficiently.
  • Present menus, answer questions, and make knowledgeable recommendations regarding food and beverage selections.
  • Take and enter orders accurately into the POS system; coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery.
  •  Serve food and beverages according to club service standards and the sequence of service.
  • Anticipate members’ needs and ensure satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, side stations, and service areas.
  • Reset tables and assist with event or banquet setup as needed.
  • Handle member charges, payments, and billing with accuracy and discretion.
  • Support team members and maintain a positive and professional atmosphere.
  • Adhere to all club policies, safety procedures, and appearance standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Food and Beverage Director, Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, and Dining Room Manager 
Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

• Serving experience required.

• Must be knowledgeable of all food items on the menu, their descriptions, and ingredients.

• Must be knowledgeable of wine and liquor offerings.

• Previous club experience preferred.

• Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.

• Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, co-workers, and members.

• Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.


Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 




Salary Information

$18.00 - $19.00 Hourly Wage
