Position Details:
Range of Pay: Min = $50,000.00 annually, Max = $80,000.00 annually, based on multiple factors such as skills and experience
Employment Type: Permanent, full-time, salary
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime
Work Location: Head Office, 36 Main Street N, Campbellville, ON
Department: Administration and Business Support
Work Travel: Minimal travel
Work Arrangement: 5 days per week in office

Job Description
GEO Morphix is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Specialist, HR & Safety Administrator, to join our team. This office-based role is ideal for someone who thrives in a small-medium sized business environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats. You will be responsible for managing payroll processes, supporting human resources functions, and coordinating health & safety initiatives to ensure compliance and promote a safe, positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time using ADP payroll software
- Posting entries to the General Ledger, reconciling payroll and benefits accounts, and compiling information for payroll reports using Excel
- Administer employee benefits, deductions, and year-end reporting (e.g., T4s)
- Respond to internal and external inquiries for payroll
- Maintaining an updated knowledge of payroll requirements and legislations, and ensuring the company’s compliance to all relevant legislation
- Ensure ROE and termination information is processed accurately and within specified legislated timeframe
Human Resources Support
- Assist administration of health and dental benefits plan and RRSP matching plan coordination
- Administer employee benefit forms for health/professional development spending accounts
- Process employee vacation and time off requests
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes
Health & Safety Support
- Support administration of online H&S management software (e.g., 4Safecom)
- Assist administration of H&S digital system and maintain H&S documentation
- Support annual company-wide H&S audits (external and internal)
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Payroll, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in in payroll, finance, or similar role
- Proficiency with ADP payroll software (Work Force Now) and QuickBooks
- Familiarity with timesheet and expense software is an asset (Big Time)
- Knowledge of Ontario employment standards, health & safety regulations, and IHSA standards
- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment
- Obtained or working towards one of the following designations, or similar: CPA or PCP
- Valid G Class driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle
