We are seeking a skilled and compassionate ED nurse, who understands and respects the values of our tribal communities. Together, staff will provide care that meets the needs of the community and offers a meaningful and culturally responsive experience for both patients and their families.


Requirements

Specialty: Dialysis Technician

Certifications: CCHT

Experience: Prefer a minimum of 6 months experience

Schedule: 36 hour workweek; 5-12 hours a day


Job Duties

  • Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities
  • Guide new patients through education plan
  • Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment.
  • Role under RN supervision
  • Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment.
  • Insert and remove patient access needles.
  • Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of any concerns.
  • Calculate patient’s weight loss to reach dry weight.
  • Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly.
  • Maintain professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rights.
  • Maintain and track inventory.
  • Perform laboratory work.
  • Performs duties as assigned by client and Tribal Health.
